Coffee Mornings
There are a couple of existing coffee groups which you are welcome to join. Alternatively it's very easy to get a new group going.

Existing Bramley Groups:
Monday 10am. Toddlers aged 18 months upwards (at Feb 09)!
Tuesday 2pm. Bumps and Babes. Expectant mums and babies aged under 18 months.
Every second Friday 2.30pm. Toddlers afternoon playdate.
These divisions are fairly arbitrary, in practice many people find the group they like and stick with it.

Up and Coming New Groups:
There are a few mums looking to get together in surrounding villages too - also on the look out for more Bumps and Babes in: Sherfield on Loddon. Silchester. Sherborne St John.

If you would like to join in with either of these two groups please email using the 'contact us' page. We'd love to welcome you.

To start your own coffee morning...
Each coffee morning relies on having a couple of enthusiatic mums who are willing to organise a rota of dates and homes, collect mums email addresses (it's easier with email) and email the group with the dates.

Advice on how to run your coffee morning...
1. Keep it simple and low key. It works best when mums don't feel under pressure to be Jane Asher on the cake front or Anthea Turner on the  housekeeping front! Kick it under the sofa or cover it with a rug is our philosophy!
2. Baby & Toddler proof the room! There are usually a variety of ages at the sessions, so it's safest to toddler proof the room. Provide toys for babies to play with. It's a good idea to put a sheet or old duvet cover on the floor for babies to play on.
3. Host mum buys the biscuits! No expectations on mums to bring anything else.
4. Rota. Ideally all mums could host, but not necessary.
5. Maximum Capacity. We find that once a group gets to about 12 - 15 mums it's time to start another group as it becomes too big to host at a single house.
6. Let us know when your group is open for new mums to join and we'll connect you to new mums looking for a group to join. And tell your health visitor as well - they are great at connecting new mums together.
7. Open for dads too! We absolutely welcome dads at the sessions, so if you're feeling brave come and join in.
